Projects
Traduki
In 2008, S. Fischer Stiftung initiated the private-public partnership that is the European network for literature and books Traduki. Its partners include institutions from Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Germany, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, and Switzerland.
Through the means of literature, namely books, translations, festivals, workshops and residency programmes, Traduki connects Southeast Europe with the German-language literary scene and Southeast European neighbours with each other.

Debates on Europe
Debates on Europe is a series of events organised by S. Fischer Stiftung and Deutsche Akademie für Sprache und Dichtung in cooperation with local partner institutions across Europe. Since its inception in 2012, the series has been hosted in places where the idea of Europe is at stake.
The Helsinki Debate on Europe took place from 15 to 18 May 2025. Some of the most pressing questions on the European agenda were discussed and 50 years after the Helsinki Accords we posed the question on how we can return to a rule-based world order.
